When high-demand requests from Baltimore area restaurants, food co-ops and grocers became too much for them to handle, three neighboring farmers in Southern Pennsylvania banded together to create Tuscarora Organic Growers (TOG) as a way to support each other and help others in the same position. Taking its roots in 1988, TOG works with farmers in the mid-Atlantic region growing organically certified fresh produce, while offering seasonal training to support their members in distribution of their products.
